Oakland Beach Community Association of Warwick Rhode Island

Welcome to Oakland Beach!

There is something truly special about our neighborhood.

That’s why the Oakland Beach Community Association (OBCA) has been a fixture here for over 100 years. We are a registered non-profit run by a volunteer Board of Directors, but at our core, we’re just everyday neighbors carrying on a century+ long tradition of looking out for this community.

If you’ve seen people out there mulching the island by the Oakland Beach sign, planting fresh flowers, or getting their hands dirty at a Monday morning beach cleanup... yep, that’s us!

We Need Your Hands and Your Voice

To keep this beautiful place thriving, we need you. Whether you have a few hours a month to volunteer or want to help shape the future of our neighborhood, there is a place for you here.

We gather for General Membership Meetings once a month to catch up, chat about local projects, and plan fun community events and local food drives.

How to Join Us (And Make an Impact)

Becoming a member is a great way to stay connected, and it gives you a real seat at the table. Membership is open to all Oakland Beach residents and homeowners:

  • Annual Dues: Just $20 a year goes directly toward funding community events, beach cleanups, neighborhood landscaping, and more.

  • Have a Say: Want to vote on upcoming projects and local issues? Members in "good standing" get full voting rights!

  • What is "Good Standing"? It’s simple—just stay up-to-date on your $20 annual dues and attend at least 6 of our monthly meetings over a 12-month period.

We’re so proud to keep this 100-year tradition alive, but we get a lot more done when we do it together.

Ready to make a difference right where you live? We’d love to welcome you at our next meeting.
